Around the globe, November 13th is recognized as “World Kindness Day.” Simply put, be kind to others today. It can be a challenge at times in the midst of this unkind world, but it can be achieved.
Christians represent our Heavenly Father in the earth (Genesis 1:26) and are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). In that regard, what we believe inwardly should be manifest outwardly through our actions, mannerisms, thoughts, and words (Galatians 5:22-23). Thus, one of the nine Fruit of the Spirit is “gentleness” (or kindness). In essence, this character trait, that is learned through spiritual maturity, represents the result, product, outcome, or effect produced by the Spirit in the believer’s life.
Be kind to someone today. Their life may depend upon it!
“Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity (love) envieth not; charity (love) vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up” (1 Corinthians 13:4)…The Love Chapter.
