Most people probably do not know, but this week is designated as “National Random Acts of Kindness” week in the United States. Specifically, today, February 17th, is “Random Acts of Kindness Day.”
As we collectiely celebrate Black History Month, I am mindful of two quotes from two distinguished African-Americans who helped to shape this world through their acts of kindness:
Wilma Rudolph, Olympic champion – “No matter what great things you accomplish, somebody helps you,” and
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.”
Your act of kindness can go a long way today. At the root of your kind acts, be mindful that service to others brings the ultimate joy and fulfillment in life. Be blessed today.
